Tara Lorigan, Founder and CEO

Tara brings first hand experience running her own businesses and significant experience working with other businesses to help them grow, to her role as CEO of Growmybiz.

In the earlier part of her career Tara held a range of senior marketing roles both in NZ and the UK working for multi nationals such as Apple Computer, Sun Microsystems, IBM and 3Com.

She made the transition to working with smaller businesses during the dot com boom, working with a number of exciting start-ups, such as TheSkillsMarket in London. Tara returned to NZ when the boom went bust and founded her own business working exclusively with small home grown businesses like Pita Bread Ltd and the iconic Bookabach amongst many others. It was during this time that she became a sought after speaker and workshop facilitator.

Tara’s career took a further turn when she took on the role of running the country’s award winning Business Incubator at the AUT Innovation Park where, in addition to working alongside the start-up businesses, she developed the Incubators highly successful Rapid Growth Programme. Under her tenure the Innovation Park won the Vero ‘Excellence in Business’ award. It was shortly after this that Tara returned to running her own business and to the research that led to the launch of Growmybiz.

Under Tara’s leadership, Growmybiz has developed a truly unique formula that powerfully addresses the needs of the small business owner, offering a world-class solution in a tried and tested kiwi format.
